Richard Lawrence Bennett is a writer from Arundel, England. He has written three collections of short stories, one novel and one collection of poetry, for which he is seeking representation from a literary agent. His individual short stories have been published in Ambit Magazine, Best British Short Stories 2020, Dawntreader Magazine, Sundial Historical Fiction and The Brussels Review. His poetry has been published in The Lounge Companion anthology.
Richard was born in Prague, Czech Republic, to British parents. He took a degree in Classics at Bristol University before going to India in search of the mystical and magical. He has worked as a civil servant in London and as an English teacher in Japan. He enjoys pubs and long city walks, has a first dan in the martial art kendo, and is a member of CAMRA, the Philosophical Society of England and the Victorian Society.
